NIN Tour 2009
May 1, 2009
Did you miss the Lights in the sky tour of 2008? Well stop yer whining and get in line because Nine Inch Nails is coming back for a tour with none other than Janes Addiction in the summer of 2009! Reznor divulged that, while reminiscing about his time with Jane’s Addiction on Lollapalooza, Reznor found himself listening to recordings and becoming inspired by Jane’s style. Reznor will be producing Jane’s Addiction’s new album before the NIN 2009 tour- Reznor states-“Emails were sent, phone calls were made, dinner was arranged, ideas were discussed and the next thing I know we’re in the studio experimenting.” But the news is bittersweet for NIN fans, Reznor explains- “I’ve been thinking for some time now it’s time to make NIN disappear for a while.” Reznor took a six year break after the release of The Fragile in 1999, would that mean that we won’t be seeing any of NIN until 2015? If that be the case, time to get yourself some NIN Tickets…fast!

Nine Inch Nails Bonnaroo
May 1, 2009
Great stuff..
And odd? If you missed the Lights in the Sky tour, you have one more change to see NIN live this summer at Bonnaroo 2009. Following in the footsteps of Metallica and Tool, Nine Inch Nails is piercing through the Bonnaroo scene to deliver some uncharacteristic industrial rock- and fans are loving it! NIN will also share the stage with Bruce Springsteen, the Beastie Boys and David Byrne.

Bummer…
Trent Reznor, and his infinitely creative mind would’ve pulled off another great feat during the Lights in the Sky tour. Already soaring above his predecessors with originality, the Lights in the Sky tour featured interactive and futuristic sets that complimented Nine Inch Nail’s sound.
Trent was planning on filming the tour with James Cameron’s creative team in, get this, 3D! If you managed to land yourself some NIN tickets and see NIN live during the Lights in the Sky tour, you would’ve realized how insane this DVD would’ve been. Through no huge fault of his own the project was axed due to record label conflicts and time constraints.
Trent had this to say on his Nine Inch Nails Blog – “This was an amazing tour and production – certainly the best thing I’ve ever been involved with and likely the final tour for NIN on this scale. Thank you to those who came out to see it and forgive me for having a Kanye West moment, but this was FOR SURE the best show of the year and any bulls*** end-of-the-year poll you may read in the next few weeks that says otherwise simply has it wrong. Those of you who saw it know I’m right.”
NIN Concert – Election Night
May 1, 2009
After the eve of his Election Night pleas, in which Reznor advised fans to hit the election booths on the 4th of November, NIN has received rave reviews from Live Daily for their recent show in Worcester, MA on November 9th. Despite the fact that Trent Reznor is not much of a speaker, at least furing this show, reviews assure future audiences that this doesn’t make a Nine Inch Nails concert any less personal.
Performing around thirty songs ranging from Pretty Hate Machine to The Slip (which you can find free on www.nin.com), NIN combined old fan favorites with new tracks that would surely join those ranks soon enough. The band also introduced instruments that have never been used at a NIN concert – an acoustic guitar and xylophone.
NIN’s set consisted of large floor to ceiling LED lights and a highly interactive mesh curtain of LED lights with sound sensitive shapes and images- a fitting set for the Lights in the Sky tour. Of course the only way to get a true feel for the artistic value of the set is to get yourself some Nine Inch Nails tickets, but you knew that already…
Currently making their way through Canda, NIN will tour the Midwest, Pacific Northwest and the West before closing in Las Vegas, NV on December 13th. Check the Nine Inch Nails Schedule page for more details.
